Colourful Irreverence
Dana & Randy
This fun couple from America, had us from the start. Full of out of the box ideas, Dana & Randy came to us as a breath of fresh air. They wanted none of the traditional and standard things and preferred the irreverent design quirks.
Dana & Randy chose the beautiful Penha Longa Resort as the site that would held all the moments of their big day. They fell in love with the venue but wanted to bring some irreverence to this usually portrayed as classic site. We knew that flowers would have a fulcral place in the decoration and planned it accordingly.
The design inspiration came from many sources, like the graffiti murals spread throughout Lisbon and the vibe they felt while visiting LX Factory. They knew that their wedding had to have a colourful palette that would blow everyone’s minds. We were, of course, more than happy to oblige and boost the design to meet their vision!
During the ceremony, a white meshed backdrop and a multicoloured pampas grass was created to bring a contemporary mood to the wedding. For the reception, a mix of round and long tables were used to create an organic layout. We then paired them with tile inspired charger plates and colourful flowers.
The whole concept started with an email from Dana saying that Randy wanted a pink flamingo float on the pond. After this, as its said, the rest is history!
