Rebecca & Josh

Pousada de Amares, in the north of Portugal, is always a magical place. At Como Branco Weddings we love planning weddings in this venue because of its beauty and good energy.

The Pousada was a perfect match for Rebecca and Josh to celebrate their love. They said yes in a simple but intimate ceremony in the orange tree courtyard, right after the couple exchange their first look in front of the monastery majestic church.

The day followed with a relaxed cocktail and the dinner in the Pousadas’s cloisters under a sky full of stars. For the party “pasteis de nata”, the infamous Portuguese custard tarts, where the starts together with the guests, the bride and the groom on the dance floor.

Nazli & Onur

Nazli and Onur brought their family and closest friends from Turkey for a dream celebration in Portugal.

They wanted vineyards as far as the eye can see, a welcoming atmosphere and an unforgettable experience for all. A stunning ceremony, live music at all moments and an outdoor dinner was all they most wanted for their wedding day, and they had it!

The inspiration was Portugal and its famous traditional tiles, elements that were present in many of the graphic pieces and even in gifts for the guests. An event full of delicious and rustic details.

Antonia & André

Not every wedding has to be a celebration with a lot of people. Antonia and André, a couple from Germany and Brazil, decided they wanted to say “Yes” in a very intimate event. Nothing to fancy, nothing really big but very simple, tasteful and warmed with love.

In a private house in Sintra, the ceremony was held among friends and family in the middle of the woods in front of an old picturesque chapel. Their little boy stood with them at the “aisle” the entire time, there’s nothing more special than having him to witness such a special celebration.

Along with the Antonia and André we planned the day to be very relaxed: the ceremony followed by a cocktail, dinner in long tables (family style) catered by the famous Portuguese chef Kiko Martins, and a Fado concert afterwords.

Decoration was simple yet elegant and it was very much aligned with the surroundings and the type of event: greenery, red and orange flowers, lots of lights and candles, flower patterned pillows and minerals as favours for the guests (the best detail in this wedding) so much so that the amazing wedding cake had to follow the theme!

Susana & Nuno

Susana and Nuno are a genuine Portuguese couple, in love with Lisbon and its palaces and nooks and, of course, with each other. It only made sense for them to celebrate their union in this city that saw them grow and where are all those dear to them. The choice of location could not have been other and, after seeing the pictures of this wedding, you will surely agree.

Throughout the planning process we were a true team, in constant dialogue and sharing. That’s why all the elements created for this wedding made a harmonious bond between the couple and this charming place. Both the graphic pieces and the decoration followed a romantic and light line, with floral and minimalist inspiration. Peonies, roses, white and blush sprinkled invitations, missals, tables and floral centerpieces. And because the Portuguese also like national products, the favours were hand painted tile coasters.

A marriage of charm and class, worthy of a fairy tale.

Ana & Holger

Ana and Holger’s wedding was in many ways different. The main color for the wedding was a rather nontraditional color: orange. All the details in the wedding followed this lead, especially the bride’s dress, stating that this was truly a different wedding, very much in style with this Portuguese/German cool couple and the way they approach the big day.

In an outdoor ceremony, surrounded by trees and nature, the brief for the decoration was clear and simple: orange tones combined with nature green made a lovely contrast and brought back to live the whole space. Beige tones were the second colours in our palette and so wood elements, and textiles were used in harmony with the venue.

Tatiana and Anderson’s wedding had a clear theme: Gatsby! We took off the feathers, the pearls and started styling this fabulous wedding at their private property in the north of Portugal! The sky was the limit and gold, black and white were the only rules.

A very classy wedding was the result, with guests dressing up to the occasion, without forgetting their warm african routes in the dance floor. As F. Scott Fitzgerald would say: “I like big parties. They’re so intimate. At small parties there isn’t any privacy.” That was exactly what Tatiana&Anderson’s was, a big party!

Celebrated in March, on the first day of Spring, Andreia and Hugo’s wedding was inspired by a north of Portugal tradition called “Lenços dos Namorados” (freely translated as Sweetheart Scarfs). Bright and colourful tones were a must in this decoration as if Spring was being celebrated.

The chosen venue, in Lisbon, has very bright, clean and modern lines, the perfect place to merge modern and traditional together, just like a perfect marriage.

Ana & Nuno

Welcome to the jungle and to one of the most beautiful weddings of the year.

Ana and Nuno brought us Africa and we helped them to show how wild and colourful a wedding can be!

Their ceremony had the perfect view, to what appeared to be a never-ending and overwhelming sea.
A memorable Photo Booth (with real jungle sounds!) and animal footprints all over the tables complement the decoration of this very special place: a “savannah by the sea”
