There’s no better light than the gold summer light in Alentejo, and gold are the fields and golden is the love celebrated between Luisa and Felipe.
Many special details made the difference in their celebration of love: Luisa’s dress with Portuguese detailed accents. The stunning tile covered church at Pousada de Arraiolos that served as the perfect ceremony scenario. The light blush pink protea flowers that were the absolute queens in the flower world of this wedding. The menus printed in tracing paper… just to name a few.
The reception was held outside with a mix of round and rectangular tables, fairy lights decorating the orange trees at the Pousada’s patio and a very sweet sweets’s table. A beautiful wedding cake was the central point and was accompanied by conventual Portuguese sweets disposed in a rustic fashion.
The sweetest couple from Florianópolis, got married in magical Alentejo, only to end their celebration until the gold sunlight raise again in the horizon.
Attorneys Ilka and Mateus who are from Brazil tied the knot back in 2007 in a traditional ceremony at a Catholic church in São Paulo with a 300-guest reception and a Beatles cover band playing all night long. A decade later they decided to renew their vows and made a destination vow renewal happen, complete with their two sweet little ones Pietra and Otávio.
Their daughter, who was 3 at the time, and son, 7, were so excited to be part of their vow-renewal plans. Ilka and Mateus wanted it to be a family event celebrating life, marriage, and family and that’s what made this vow renewal so special.
Together with 31 guests the celebration was held in beautiful Alentejo at Torre de Palma under a stunning sunset serving as background to the very emotional ceremony. Olive green, lavender, olive leafs, a macramé backdrop together with boho style dress set the mood for the event.
Portugal does not only have the good weather, delicious food and fantastics landscapes to offer. Bruno (from Brazil) and Michael (from Germany with roots in Jordan) are the prefect examples of this. They decided to get married because here they could do it in freedom, and that for us is the most special about this wedding.
The wedding day started out with the legal ceremony and proceeded with a relaxed cocktail outside Penha Longa’s resort monastery. A symbolic and emocional ceremony was held in the gardens framed by two large trees that served as backdrop. They swore fidelity but above all they celebrated the freedom to love.
In terms of decoration Bruno and Michael didn’t want anything over the top, very much like their own style, so we decided to go with simple, elegant and neutral tones: beige, olive green, white and using light decoration to set the mood in the room and party.
Love always wins and we feel that in this case we won much more than love. It was a pleasure to be part of such a celebration.
With a stunning and unique view over the sea and the Cascais bay, this historical place was the chosen setting for Sophia and Kieran’s wedding, one of the most relaxed couples we have ever had the pleasure to work with.
Always warm and kind have made the whole planning process a smooth task and we felt like guests at this magical wedding along with a team of excellence suppliers who ensured the perfect day.
The light and bright decor followed the bride and groom’s vision. Simplicity and elegance in pink, gold and white. Truly a dream by the sea.
Foodies and wine lovers, Theodora and Ziggy came from the United States and could not have chosen a better venue to celebrate their wedding: the vineyards of Quinta da Bacalhôa Palace, house known for its wines. It is a place steeped in history with a unique atmosphere.
Theodora and Ziggy brought with them family and friends from all over the world to celebrate their love in this idyllic setting.
Emotion, traditions, cocktails at sunset and an extraordinary outdoor dinner. A true summer dream they both yearned for. Vibrant coloured flowers and candlelight set the tone for this intimate and engaging dinner. In the end everyone had a great time with the traditional dances from Bulgaria, home country of the bride, and a live concert of Dino D’Santiago, that even sang the song of their first dance.
It was a pleasure to help them organize this beautiful wedding, as well as a beach party the day before and a farewell brunch the next day. May they always be happy!
From Paris with Love Sandra & Clément got married in the north of Portugal, at the beautiful Pousada de Amares.
An extremely cool, relaxed, fun and above all in love couple, they took their wedding day to another level! Retro cool lounges, a hip-hop concert during the cocktail, fuss-ball table, giant balloons, and a stunning wedding reception outside.
The style was defined with the invitations: simple black and gold modern typography and elements. For the decoration wood and light tones such as pink, blue and green plus a touch of romantic and vintage details made the Pousada’s cloisters picture perfect.
Nether less to say that party was hard, rumor has it that it lasted until sunrise!
Mélissa and Nathan picked Pestana Palace in Lisbon for their special day, the perfect palace for such a wonderful princess and her prince charming.
The wedding theme was light pink and gold with modern fonts but also romantic enough to match the venue in perfection.
In a very emotional ceremony held outdoor at Pestana’s, this couple said “Yes” in the most cute way possible. The cocktail followed, also outside in front of the Palace, decorated with a lounge area build specifically for their wedding.
For dinner, round tables with high flowers arrangements on classic wood stands and lots of candles warmed the already extremely beautiful room. Their party went along starting with a very romantic first dance outside, under festoon lights: they couldn’t have asked for more romance than this!
Probably the cutest couple on earth, these two were a true inspiration that made our work super easy.
Nazli and Onur brought their family and closest friends from Turkey for a dream celebration in Portugal.
They wanted vineyards as far as the eye can see, a welcoming atmosphere and an unforgettable experience for all. A stunning ceremony, live music at all moments and an outdoor dinner was all they most wanted for their wedding day, and they had it!
The inspiration was Portugal and its famous traditional tiles, elements that were present in many of the graphic pieces and even in gifts for the guests. An event full of delicious and rustic details.
Not every wedding has to be a celebration with a lot of people. Antonia and Andre, a couple from Germany and Brazil, decided they wanted to say “Yes” in a very intimate event. Nothing too fancy, nothing really big but very simple, tasteful and warmed with love.
In a private house in Sintra, the ceremony was held among friends and family in the middle of the woods in front of an old picturesque chapel. Their little boy stood with them at the “aisle” the entire time, there’s nothing more special than having him to witness such a special celebration.
Along with the Antonia and Andre we planned the day to be very relaxed: the ceremony followed by a cocktail, dinner in long tables catered by the famous Portuguese chef Kiko Martins, and a Fado concert afterwords.
Decoration was simple yet elegant and it was very much aligned with the surroundings and the type of event: greenery, red and orange flowers, lots of lights and candles, flower patterned pillows and minerals as favours for the guests (the best detail in this wedding) so much so that the amazing wedding cake had to follow the theme!
There is so much to say about this wedding that we don’t even know where to start.
When Carrie reached us we couldn’t have been more excited. The blogger behind WishWishWish was getting married! A very interesting fashion, food and travel blog from London with thousands of followers.
Carrie and Miguel are a creative, laid-back couple who knew exactly what they wanted for their special day. The bride imagined and designed every item of the decor down to the smallest detail and when you see the photographs of this wedding, you can almost feel the fondness she dedicated to this task. Always gentle and kind, it was a great pleasure to help them make some of their visions come true and to support them in the choices they had to make.
The venue of a romantic atmosphere, surrounded by greenery, a beautiful water mirror and innumerable nooks to explore, could not have been a better choice. Although the rain kept threatening the day this was truly a dream wedding. The party was simply unforgettable with Miguel’s old colleagues playing the first dance music live and the groom joining them as lead singer for a concert for their dearest family and friends.
A toast to them, be happy and authentic forever.
